Here's something, since ICE is not just attacking, kidnapping, arresting, and killing men, women, and children, why doesn't every mayor that doesn't want ICE around, instruct the city law enforcement to stop and arrest ICE agents from doing what is by definition, breaking the law?

There's already a couple of incidents where local law enforcement had intervened with an ICE attempt to kidnap a citizen. I can't remember which city it was, but in all out honesty, I feel it should be every city where local law enforcement has direct jurisdiction of the area.

So, back to the question, why don't the mayors of every city simply instruct their local law enforcement to respond to an ICE attack, no differently than any other kind of attack?

Every city was, at one point in time or another, under the "threat" of Defund the Police. It was designed to remove all the excess law enforcement equipment like riot gear, armored vehicles, shielded gear, and firearms ranging from paintball guns to water cannons to high caliber machine guns. AND IT FAILED!!! They still have all of it. So? where are the cops that still have all that stuff? and why aren't they using them to withstand ICE and their disruption of police procedure(s)?

Because it's not like the police have never responded to a multi-criminal act of crime, such as bank robberies. Or taking down groups of mad drunken douche bags at bar fights, or event stadium events. These days, it's best when they gear up for the removal of a domestic threat. I'm sure there's other crimes that can't recollect, but you get the picture.

So? Why aren't the cops using all that gear, that people like me couldn't see a use for in the past, to handle the attacks caused by our own government, and stop the ICE goons, who are playing the roles of Gestapo and NOT American government agents?
