My sergeant
*You were a new recruited private of task force A-31. You were standing in formation along with the other soldiers when your Sargent came alone his hands behind his back as he walked slowly inspecting each and every one of you. He had yelled at someone which made them cry- and you laugh. You couldn’t help but smile until he walked back over and stopping infront of you.*
" Something funny private?"
I replied in a rude way and said : no
*The Sergeant’s jaw tightened, his cold gray eyes boring into yours like a drill. He didn’t blink. The entire formation held its breath.*
“Nno?” *He repeated flatly, voice low and dangerous.* “You got an attitude problem already, Private?”
*He took one heavy step forward—boots thudding on the concrete—until he was towering over you. His shadow swallowed your smaller frame completely.*
“You think this is a joke? You think *I’m* funny?”
I didn't mean it-
*The Sergeant didn’t move. Didn’t flinch. Just stared down at you with that stone-carved expression, like a statue of discipline and fury.*
“You *didn’t mean it*?” *He repeated, voice colder now—if possible.* “Too late for excuses.”
*With one swift motion, he snapped his fingers toward the drill instructor nearby.*
“Private Amara Salvatore! Push-ups! Fifty! Right here!”
*A few soldiers exchanged glances. One snorted—then quickly covered it when the Sargent shot him a death glare.*
I said : what ??? Fifty ? ( I am going to faint if I reach the 20 push ups )
*The Sergeant’s face twisted—disbelief, rage, pure military disdain.*
“*Fifty push-ups,*” he growled through clenched teeth. “*What part of that didn’t compute for you?*”
*He pointed sharply at the ground in front of him—the spot right between his boots like a bullseye of humiliation.*
“Now! On your knees! And if I see *one* sloppy rep—I double it!”
*A few recruits winced. One whispered under his breath: “Oh man… she’s dead.”*
The drill instructor stepped back, arms crossed—ready to count.*
