Anxiety And Love

There's a tremor beneath my calmest breath,
A quiet hum of unseen stress.
It follows me from day to night,
Even when your arms feel right.
You reach for me with steady grace,
A patient heart, a softened face.
You never rush, you never blame,
You whisper love instead of shame.
Still, my thoughts run wild and fast,
Haunted echoes from the past.
I crave your touch, then pull away,
Afraid my fear will make you stray.
But you stay close when I retreat,
You meet my chaos, not defeat.
Your voice, a light when mine grows dim,
Reminds me I'm still safe within.
Love and worry, side by side,
Two restless waves that often collide.
Yet through the storm, your calm remains--
A quiet balm for all my pains.
And though my mind may twist and fight,
You hold me throuhg each anxious night.
I'm learning, slowly, how to be--
To trust your love, and set fear free.
